AFFILIATE GUIDES
Our Affiliate Guides are women who are skilled in helping others explore new areas and reach new destinations in their lives. We want to offer the best services possible to women at Pomegranate Place and are very careful in selecting the professional women who offer workshops, classes, book studies, life/leadership coaching, mentoring, and spiritual direction in our space.
Affiliate Guides at Pomegranate Place are independent contractors and/or businesses and therefore solely and totally responsible to those who use their services. Pomegranate Place, while feeling confident about its Affiliate Guides, is not responsible for issues that may arise in fulfilling their obligation to you. We trust in your ability to make wise decisions in choosing services and methods for your development and also in taking responsibility for those choices.
VISION
Pomegranate Place nourishes, enlivens, empowers and advocates for women – women who are looking for more meaningful lives, new ways to express themselves in the world, and a sense of belonging through shared experience. We envision both a physical gathering place, rich in generosity and acceptance, and a universal conversation, abundant in possibility. This is a place where compassion, justice, freedom and transcendence are foundational values rather than intangible afterthoughts – where independence is a practice, living authentically a mantra, and shared wisdom the feast!
MISSION
The mission of Pomegranate Place is to provide opportunities for women to discover and live out the purposes for which they were created.
We do this by
- Providing a safe, creative space to connect with other women,
- Inspiring the growth of character strengths,
- Nurturing the healing and development of women’s bodies, minds, and souls,
- Encouraging women to act on behalf of their sisters in need around the world.

ETHICAL GUIDELINES
These guidelines have been delineated in order to create safety for participants in Pomegranate Place activities as well as for clients of professional practitioners using Pomegranate Place space for groups.
- Explain, discuss and require confidentiality in the group.
- Be as present as possible with everyone in the group.
- Honor the process of individuals even if you disagree with it. Be respectful and have 100% positive regard and empathy as you honestly and congruently express yourself.
- If it is your own group it is certainly good to state your preferences and rules for participation (as long as they do not conflict with Pomegranate Place guidelines), but please be flexible in enforcing them. Participants do not have to live up to the expectations of others in order to participate in a group.
- Refrain from all conduct that could be interpreted as invasive, threatening or sexual. Ask for permission from participants to do confrontation or for physical contact such as hugs. Remember that some people are more sensitive to this than other people are. Sexual relationships with group members are never appropriate and are prohibited.
- When you are a group leader or facilitator, be sensitive to the power differential between you as group leader and others as group members.
- Be willing to accept feedback from group members without becoming defensive. Realize that you, as a facilitator or leader, are in your own growth process and can learn from the group.
- Have your own peer or supervision group in which you are a participant and in which you can discuss your problems and speak your truth. Bring problems that arise as a facilitator to a predetermined support group, mentor or supervisor.
- If you are not a qualified professional, do not attempt to diagnose or treat any group participant.
- If you suspect a group participant is in danger of harming herself or another, consult with your mentor, supervisor or a qualified professional to determine the appropriate intervention.
